Senior phase of learning
At Centenary State High School, we expect our
students to graduate with the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
Our senior students are well prepared to journey into this exciting phase of
their learning.
We optimise student success in the
following ways:
Developing, in consultation with students, parents/carers, staff and other professionals, a Senior Education and Training Plan (SETP), outlining specific targets and pathways for Year 11 and beyond, and supported by career guidance and counselling advice
Providing a seamless learning pathway, allowing Year 10 students to study the pre-requisite units for the senior subjects which they have chosen
-
Enabling articulated pathways through strong links with universities, TAFE and Industry
Centenary State High School offers a flexible
Senior curriculum, where students have many different pathways and options
available to them. All students select a suite of subjects to support the
QCE. Pathways at Centenary State High School include:
-
QCE ATAR Pathway – attaining an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) for tertiary entrance
QCE PLUS Pathway – completing Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications for transition to further training, employment or university
