In our High School Programs international students are fully integrated into our mainstream classes, studying with Australian students and receiving one-on-one support from specialised staff.
In the junior program, international students in Years 7 to 9 will study core subjects through the new Australian curriculum. These subjects include:
Through Years 9 and 10, some choices of subjects are offered allowing students to begin pathway planning for senior subjects and tertiary opportunities. See our Senior Handbook to get a better idea of what subjects are on offer at Centenary SHS.
In the Senior program, International students in Years 11 and 12 will study toward achieving the award of a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) issued by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA). Students with a full academic program complete Units of study to be eligible for an ATAR rank. The ATAR rank score is used for entrance to Australian universities and is internationally recognized. All Years 11 and 12 students study English and Mathematics plus three or four other subjects of their choice.

Study Tours
Centenary State High School also offers study tours for school groups. These programs are generally of very short term (a number of weeks) and offer a combination of academic learning and cultural activities.
