Centenary SHS participates in the West Brisbane Association Interschool sport
competition which includes representation from Kenmore SHS, Yeronga SHS, Corinda SHS,
Indooroopilly SHS, BSSSS and QASMT. There are four junior gala days and two senior gala days throughout the year, where students can represent their school across
a myriad of sports including football, AFL, volleyball, cricket, netball, touch,
ultimate disc, badminton, futsal, basketball, rugby league and tennis. Teams
will compete for the title of Association Premiers in each sport and then the
premier teams will progress onto the Metropolitan Finals series against other
winning schools from across Brisbane. Many of these teams get to trial and
train through our very successful STEP program.
These pathways exist in an attempt to provide a wide range of sporting options
for those students interested in sport. If you would like further information
about any of these, please contact the School Sports Coordinators, Mr James Garrard jgarr57@eq.edu.au and Mr Tom Galloway txgal4@eq.edu.au.
