Quality Learning, Quality Futures

Centenary State High School is a co-educational school of around 1650 students, located in the beautiful, leafy Centenary area of Brisbane. Set on a gentle, sloping hill only a kilometre to the Brisbane River, Centenary State High School allows for a very peaceful environment for learning. In addition, the school is close to several amenities, including Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre (1.8km), Jindalee Swimming Pool (0.6km) and several bus routes that drop students off at the school gates.

Centenary State High School continues to aspire and keep up with best educational practice. Our teachers continue to offer diverse pathways to ensure that every student’s needs are met and that no student feels ‘like a number in a system’. These same teachers go above and beyond to help construct extra-curricular activities for students to participate in, whether it be in the arts, sports, technology or other areas.
Our school also realises that students need up-to-date resources to reflect the changing world. As a result, the school continues to expand, with a new state-of-the-art senior learning centre opening in 2020, and students becoming more computer literate as the school moves to digital resources. With these steps, Centenary hopes to give students the best opportunity to become well-rounded and successful young adults ready to meet the challenges of the 21st Century world beyond the school gate.
