Some students have difficulties learning to read, write
or work with numbers due to a range of reasons, for example a disability,
transience or missed schooling due to illness.
Some examples of learning disability are:
specific learning disorder with impairment in reading (dyslexia)
central auditory processing disorder
language disorder
developmental coordination disorder
specific learning disorder with impairment in mathematics (dyscalculia)
speech sound disorder
attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder
The school does not need a formal diagnosis of a learning
disability to provide students with support.
