Westpac Rescue Helicopter Visit

Presentation of raised funds to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Team
On Wednesday October 25 the Diverse Learning Department had an amazing opportunity to watch the Westpac Rescue Helicopter land on the School oval.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter delivers immediate medical care and transport to patients in need but they also play a major role in keeping people safe by patrolling the beaches and work alongside Surf Life Saving Queensland.
The Year 7/8 Pathways to Success program held a cookie drive for staff and they managed to fundraise one hundred and twenty dollars which was donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The students were extremely lucky to see the helicopter approaching the school. As the helicopter got closer to the oval the students watched as a member of the team winched out of the helicopter onto the oval.
It was an incredible experience that the students will remember forever.
